Safety
A McTrotter shall give all possible help to any person in danger.
Sanitation
A McTrotter must throw away McDonald’s packaging in the right bin: trash in a trash can, recyclables in a recycling bin, from either McDonald’s or the City of New York.
A McTrotter may not shed, dispose of, or give any possession or article of clothing during McTrot with the exception of helping any person in danger.
Eating
A McTrotter must order and eat one food item at each McDonald’s. Sandwiches, wraps, breakfast items, McNuggets, fries, apple slices, ice cream (including McFlurries), pies, and cookies count as food. Sauces, condiments, beverages (including shakes), and coffee drinks do not count as food.
An order may not be sent back. If the order is fulfilled incorrectly, a McTrotter must eat everything that was served or dispose of the order and place a new order.
The item may be taken to go. The item must be eaten before reaching the next McDonald’s.
Every McDonald’s
A McDonald’s must be visited if it is within the Manhattan borough boundary and listed on the McDonald’s website.
Each McDonald’s must be visited during the open hours listed on the McDonald’s website. A McTrotter may skip ordering at or eating from a McDonald’s which is listed as open but not in fact open and operating.
If a McDonald’s is entirely within another business or entity, such as Macy’s, it must be visited within the containing entity’s open hours without regard to the contained McDonald’s hours on the McDonald’s website.
A McTrotter may start at any McDonald’s. A McTrotter may visit the McDonald’s in any order.
On Foot
From the first to the last McDonald’s, a McTrotter must run and/or walk. A McTrotter may not ride in, on, or drive or otherwise operate any vehicle, including but not limited to automobiles, motorcycles, buses, trains, subways, aerial trams, or watercraft. A McTrotter may not roll, skate, or slide in any manner including but not limited to roller skating, inline skating, skateboarding, wearing roller shoes, skiing, or snowboarding. A McTrotter may not bicycle or unicycle.
A McTrotter may use escalators and/or elevators.
If a McDonald’s is within Manhattan but inaccessible by foot, such as would occur if a McDonald’s were to open on Governor’s Island or Roosevelt Island, a McTrotter may ride in, on, or operate a watercraft or aerial tram to and/or from that McDonald’s only.
In One Go
A McTrotter must reach every McDonald’s within one continuous 24-hour period. A McTrotter may rest anywhere for any length of time within that period.
